I say unexpectedly, even though I, along with John Médaille, was one of the small group of writers and theorists most responsible. After a few articles of my own, the website … More What Is Happening?

An Economics of Justice & Charity

21 November, 2017

The Church has always concerned itself with issues of justice in society, and popes have taught extensively on the topic since the late 1800s. Subsidiarity vs. Single Payer 2

7 September, 2017

Given the amount of time, I considered moving on to other topics, but there were several points he claimed that I think really need to be addressed. Therefore, with apologies to our readers, and … More Subsidiarity vs. Single Payer 2

Distributism is not about government redistribution. Distributism (a.k.a. Localism) advocates the greatest amount of private, locally owned, independent businesses, focusing on strong local economies as the foundation of a strong national economy. It also advocates the decentralization of government authority over the current trend of relying on a central government that constantly increases its power.
